She, along with other esteemed members took great efforts to source craftsmen from grass root level and give them the opportunity to exhibit their art to a larger audience and earn a livelihood.

She was held in high regard due to her bond and connect with the craftsmen.
Her long association with the organisation continued till the very end at the age of 89 whereby she attended every exhibition to encourage and appreciate the craftsmen she had nurtured.
