Woven using cotton and silk and traditionally done on the double sided loom. Designs and patterns taken from the nearby Ajanta and Ellora caves oval, diamond, circle, octagon, hexagon, almonds, pineapple, pomegranate, jasmine, roses, lotus, birds and animals are common motifs.
